Can't Bear a Square

can't bear a square, originally uploaded by fitknit.

I really don't like joining squares and I don't know why. I'm always pleased with the result and I love the finished object, so why the reluctance?

Recently I have ironed, vacuumed, pulled weeds and done anything in preference to running a small amount of yarn between two squares.

At least I now understand from where my children's procrastination originates.

I understand completely. Mine is knitting sleeves. 3 months to finish the body (amongst other things) then 12 months to knit 2 sleeves.

My procrastination is sock knitting. 2 yrs now umming and ahhing, have the yarn, the needles, just not the confidence.

And blocking is another procrastination.

I hate sewing up garments/squares/any knitting really! I always put it off but I am trying to change....sometimes!

I switched to making afghans in one-
piece designs because I can't stand sewing up a million little pieces.
I also do quilting, crochet, knitting and sewing, so I don't quite understand my aversion to small pieces. You should try it.
